A letter from Deby

 My purpose

Carol’s great granddaughter, Capri, was diagnosed August 2018 with a form of juvenile cancer known as Wilms Tumor. Her remarkable journey began with her initial diagnoses, doctors, nurses, hospital stays (totalling over a year), chemotherapy, radiation, removal of her right kidney, a second diagnoses in her lungs, more chemotherapy, more radiation, stem cell harvest, stem cell transplant, more chemotherapy, more radiation and, YES, finally ringing of the bell in March 2020.

Carpri’s family (immediate and worldwide) were and still are her guiding light. The highs and lows never wavered their love or commitment to making sure Capri was never alone. Capri’s deep bravery to beat this terrible disease will always remain a gift she shared with us.

I am blessed with the joy of family and six beautiful grandchildren: Capri, Harper, Morgan, Cooper, Emerson and Porter. I dedicate this journey to each of them. May they each shine their light bright and know how much they are loved.

We are better together & we each have a story. Please join our journey. Follow us, share us, join our classes, share your story.

In closing, thank you. You matter and you are important.
