Meet our PTSD & Anxiety Service Dog: Ryder
Bringing Comfort, Calm, and Connection to Those Who Need It Most
Meet Ryder, our 4-year-old golden doodle with a heart of gold and a calming presence that makes a world of difference. Ryder is specially trained to support individuals living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and feelings of isolation. Whether he's visiting a senior center, comforting students at a school, or simply sitting with someone who needs a quiet moment of peace, Ryder is there to help.
Ryder is a 3-year-old golden-doodle and one of the best.
He’s calm, cool and will win over your heart in a minute. Ryder began working with Carol’s Light by visiting our local senior residential center in Montana. As a service dog, Ryder is welcome anywhere with his handler Deby. One of the greatest things about Ryder is that he is willing to just sit with people, especially if they’re experiencing triggers from trauma or anxiety. Ryder is loving companion who will listen and let people know
how important and special they are.
“There is nothing truer in this world than the love of a good dog”
